Welcome to Ceará, Brazil, for the 8th edition of MolokaBRA Downwind — one of the biggest downwind events in Latin America and a major gathering for ocean paddling.
Taking place from September 18 to 27, 2026, along the Ceará coastline, MolokaBRA brings together athletes from Brazil and around the world for a week of racing across multiple paddle and wind-powered disciplines. The event combines the legendary Ceará trade winds with ocean courses connecting Fortaleza and Cumbuco, with race distances ranging from shorter courses to the longest 32 km crossing.
The 2026 edition also features the ICF Canoe Ocean Racing World Cup, bringing some of the world’s leading Surfski paddlers to Fortaleza from September 18 to 21. The event is part of the 2026 ICF Canoe Ocean Racing World Cup series.
Alongside the international Surfski competition, MolokaBRA’s programme includes SUP, SUP Foil, Paddleboard, Outtriger, Va’a and Surfski, as well as several wind-powered disciplines.
With strong and consistent trade winds, warm tropical waters and a coastline shaped by classic downwind conditions, Ceará provides a unique setting for athletes looking to connect the bumps and make the most of the ocean.
