Results Surf Ski double: Durban ICF World championship 2025

The first day of the 2025 ICF Canoe Ocean Racing World Championships set the tone for an unforgettable weekend in Durban. The opening day of the ICF Canoe Ocean Racing World Championships in Durban could not have started better for South Africa. On home waters, Matthew Fenn and Saskia Johanna Hockly turned last year’s bronze into gold, mastering the shifting ocean to win the mixed SS2 title in 1:51:16.
“The sea threw all sorts of conditions at us and we conquered them,” said Fenn. For Hockly, racing and winning, on South African shores was “truly special.” Their victory set the tone for the week: proof that true success is earned through rhythm, resilience, and unity.
